Acceptance
If you want to be
accepted as you are, then you should also be willing to accept others as they
are.
We always want to
have our parents accept us totally. In the class room, in a team, in a group,
in the work places, we want to impose our opinions on others. Yet often we are
not willing to accept others as they are.
Acceptance gives you
and others the comfort to get along, at least for a specified task. It is incorrect
to set standards for others. You can only set standards for yourself. Again, when
the standards become commands, strain is the end result. The more you can
practice self-acceptance, the easier it is to drop habits that no longer useful
us. It is easy for you to grow and change in an atmosphere of love.
The
bare truth to be engraved in the mind is that you can never live alone. You can
never perform anything alone unless others accept you. Unless you accept
others, others won’t accept you. Acceptance shall be both ways for
accomplishing the task undertaken. One sided acceptance never serves the
purpose.
The mentor and
disciple should accept each other. The husband and wife should accept each
other. The leader and follower should accept each other. The master and servant
should accept each other for harmony. And so on……..
It is the harmony
emanating from the relationships that pushes the task ahead. The disharmony
retards and many a times, results in break down. It is always the acceptance
that showers peace in any relationship. Advocate acceptance for continuous
peace in life. Mutual acceptance is the origin of peace. OK?
